Erika Joanne Art now has a subscription box and FaceBook group, Woodland Whimsey. The first box she sent out in January was chockful of so many surprises and wonderful art projects using JoSonja acrylic paints and PrismaColor pencils. Our first project was this bright and beautiful Lancashire moth, and I am so in love with this piece! Thank you, Erika!! Here is the moth I painted and colored during our first Woodland Whimsey workshop on FaceBook. Looking forward to the next class!
I painted this "gaw-jus" Heart Art project by Sandy McTier Design as part of her fabulous Adventures in Art FaceBook group. I added a key, some beads, and the glittery word LOVE. The textured background was created with Sandy's Swirly Stencil and DecoArt's Texture Sand Medium. I also revamped a frame using chalk paint and deco foil. The background colors were created with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, which really pop. So Bohemian! Love it!!
This artwork is for all of you farm and cow art lovers out there! This is a Tracy Moreau pattern that she demonstrated this week as part of her FaceBook subscription group (tracymoreau.net/paid-membership-info). The moment I saw this rough and rustic faux barnwood piece, I just had to paint it! I'm seriously in love with the cow. This crazy chicken and her partners in crime have commandeered the farm truck, and they are heading out! This is an original Teawife Creation and features laser-cut wood elements, including eggs and chicken, to create a three-dimensional effect. Everything has been painted in acrylics on a wood surface. The back of the piece is covered with a piece of rice paper. Available in my shop.
This "Easter Bunny in the Truck" is a laser-cut wood art piece that features an adorable bunny diving into the back of a truck to juggle eggs and munch on crunchy carrots. The original artwork is from Diva Watts Designs.
Two bright blue butterflies flutter and flit among vibrant reddish-orange tulips on this three-dimensional wood artwork created by Kathy the Teawife and based on a design (Flutterby Spring) by artist Sandy McTier. The golden distressed background was created using chalk paints, stamped images, glimmer sprays, acrylics, copper texture, and more. The tulips and butterflies were laser cut from wood and then painted, shaded and highlighted with acrylics. Available in my Shop.
